Privacy
The short version: no accounts, no cookies, no tracking. Your location and saved places never leave your device.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. The site has no sign-up, no forms that send data to us, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. All fonts, scripts and map tiles are served from this website.
Your location
When you tap the locate button, your browser asks for permission. If you allow it, your position is used only inside your browser to place a dot on the map. It is not sent to us or stored by us. Turning location off, or closing the page, stops it.
What stays on your device
These are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only:
- My places: names, notes, categories and positions you save
- Your own position corrections ("Not quite right?")
- Your light or dark mode choice
We cannot see this data. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Export creates a file on your device; who you share it with is up to you.
Hosting
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under its own privacy policy. We have not enabled any analytics on it.
Links to other sites
Some buttons open other websites, for example Google Maps or the Nashik Municipal Corporation site. Those sites have their own privacy policies; nothing is sent to them unless you click.
Children
The site is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
